Cycle Design Guidelines

The Cycle Design Guidelines document introduced a fresh, forward-thinking approach to Christchurch’s cycle lane infrastructure. Intended as a key reference for both internal teams and external stakeholders, it needed to be highly accessible, easy to navigate, and quick to reference. We achieved this through a clean, minimalistic layout built on a simple yet effective grid system, paired with bold, purposeful colour coding. The result is a structured, flexible document that communicates complex design principles clearly and supports consistent implementation across the city’s cycling network.
