Lumes serves specialty coffee roasted on-site within their Christchurch café, with a keen focus on highlighting the true flavour of their beans through careful selection of seasonal, high-quality varieties and precise roasting.

Just as distinctive as the coffee itself is the café’s unique name—Lumes, a clever portmanteau blending Arsène Lupin and Sherlock Holmes, the iconic characters from classic detective novels. We merged their signature traits to craft the logo: Arsène Lupin’s elegant attire and monocle paired seamlessly with Sherlock Holmes’ iconic top hat and tobacco pipe, creating a refined, whimsical emblem that perfectly captures the brand’s sophisticated yet playful spirit.
